Mumia Abu-Jamal is an award-winning journalist and famous death row inmate who has been wrongfully incarcerated in Pennsylvania fro 28 years. He has written six books from prison, including a New York Times best seller, “Live From Death Row.” A recent supreme court decision has made Mumia vulnerable to execution. We need his life and his voice in this “age of Obama.”

Educators for Mumia Abu-Jamal (EMAJ) in collaboration with Lucha and other organizations at Columbia University are sponsoring an event on his case, at which Cornel West and others will speak. This will be a memorable event. Please join us.

Sponsored by Educators for Mumia Abu-Jamal (EMAJ), with LUCHA , BLACK STUDENT ORGANIZATION, MUSLIM STUDENTS ASSOCIATION,  INTERCULTURAL HOUSE,  ARAB STUDENT ASSOCIATION at SIPA, and COLUMBIA STUDENTS FOR JUSTICE IN PALESTINE, AFRICAN DIASPORA LITERARY SOCIETY, BLACK AND LATIN STUDENT CAUCUS at The School of Public Health, TURATH, and the AFRICAN STUDENT ASSOCIATION
